- For those of you following along, pay attention to the counter at the bottom of the screen. It has been alive for exactly one month now, and we are at 1,074 hits. Five of you will remember the original e-mail that I sent out asking you guys to get a laugh at what I knew you already thought was funny. After the initial e-mail, another 20 people were added to the list that gets an e-mail each time something new is posted. Other than that, I have maybe told 10 people to take a look without ever sending any reminders, and have no idea as to whether any of them have actually logged on to look. Point I’m trying to make is contained in the following: How quickly can a simple idea that’s rooted in ridiculousness a.) grow without any type of conventional advertising and/or marketing budget b.) leverage and/or actually show the true power of exponential growth, when combined with the internet. - Things have, well, slowed down a bit. Neverthless, so have the number of posts, as well as the effort in trying to force people to read this bullshit. So, on October 28, 2009, there is now a meager 2,372 hits to the site. Oh well, this Dick IS still growin’…slowly, but surely. After all, I’m hard as steel and steel gettin’ harder!
